Temporary off-leash dogs parks will be available for the summer
The City of Regina has designated five sites as temporary off-leash dog areas from July 11 to August 28 as a solution to the closure of the Cathy Lauritsen Memorial Off-Leash Dog Park. The Lauritsen site, located off 13th Avenue, has been closed since April due to flooding which has led to fast moving water and washed up debris. The park will remain closed until it is safe to reopen to the public. The soil remains saturated and the fence has been damaged by the force of the water. The boarded rinks designated as off-leash parks are located in the following locations:M. J. While the composting system is still under development, community feedback is being sought.
An opportunity to learn about the project and share suggestions will be provided as the gardening season rolls along.
